I'm just gonna put myself out there. I am a single, lonely lady living in Texas. I recently moved from the San Antonio area where I've lived for quite a while, to where I am now. I moved here to be nearer to my son and grandchildren. I am looking to make new friends & maybe find a companion.
Anyone else find it difficult to find genuine people these days or is it just me?

`hi!
This looks like a lonely site. too bad.
this is my first time on Senior passions because I have been hanging around the Large passions.
If you think finding a guy is tough when you are older, you ought to try it when you are older AND a very big girl! LOL
Those good old boys don't know what they are missing with either one of us, huh?
The large passions forum is a bit more lively but mostly youngsters on there. I thought this would be a hot bed of frisky old farts looking to get together with each other but boy I called that wrong.
I think I will check back often though. I found that the more often I checked back and made a comment, even on an older post, soon, others did too.
join me in giving that a try to liven this up, okay?

`Okay, I don't think being large or small, young or old, has anything to do with how this site works. For one thing, I don't think anyone younger than 55 should be allowed on "SENIOR PASSIONS". There are so many other sites for the younger crowd. I personally am not interested in hearing from some young guy who 'likes cougars'. Also, what in the world are these young people doing looking on computer sites instead of going out and being part of the real world. Must be just too lazy to put the effort into meeting potential partners.
Seniors are a different story. We were raised differently. Ladies don't go out alone looking for guys. I thought Senior Passions would be kind of a
fair way to get in touch with like people and at least start conversing. Even though there are different units to take advantage of, (location, age preference, etc.) it has been my experience that although men are listed as available and looking, they do not respond. I seriously wonder just how interested these men really are.
It isn't easy for any of us. Nobody really wants to travel across the country for a date. But, wouldn't it be thoughtful if... when you do contact someone that they would respond with a yes or no to corresponding? Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I only try to find people that live in a reasonable proximity of the east coast within reason.
Not asking a lot. Consideration and some sign of life would be appreciated.

Senior Passions is definitely set up for older individuals.
In fact, our Search system only allows searches for members 50 and up.
We added a block to prevent younger members from joining Senior Passions, or adding it into their account.
If you are contacted by someone under 50 on Senior Passions, please let us know, so that we can look at our programming code to figure out how they got around our block.
Thanks,
